Archaeological Ensemble of Waqrapukara

Waqrapukara (from Quechua, waqra, 'horn' and pukara, 'fortress'; 'horn-shaped fortress') or Huacrapucará is an Inca archaeological complex located in the peasant community of Huayqui, annex of Percca in the district of Acos, located in the province of Acomayo in the department of Cuzco.

It is located near the Apurimac River at 4,300 meters above sea level. n. m. It was built by the Canchis and later conquered by the Incas. It was declared in July 2017 as Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the Ministry of Culture.2 The building would be an Inca sanctuary. The building is located on platforms, squares and a stone forest.34
