Vinicunca: The mountain of seven colors

The mountain of the 7 Colors (also called Vinicunca or simply “rainbow mountain”) is one of the new attractions of Peru. Located more than 100 kilometers from the city of Cusco, on an altitude summit located at 5,200 meters above sea level. It is a mountainous formation dyed in various shades as a result of the complex combination of minerals. The slopes and summit are tinted a variety of hues including red, purple, green, yellow, pink, and other variations. This tourist attraction was surrounded by ice not many years ago. Since 2016, this place receives hundreds of visitors a day, becoming, along with Machu Picchu, one of the most visited places in Cusco.

Tour Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Tour to the Rainbow Mountain

    Our circuit begins at 04:30 am, where we will pick you up from your respective hotels, if your accommodation is in a remote area, we will coordinate a meeting point and then we will start the trip to the south of the city towards the city of Cusipata, where the restaurant is located where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, after breakfast we continue the trip to Fulawasi, the point where the transport arrives and we will start the walking course to the hill of 7 colors, our guide will be in charge of presenting the Income in the control.

    Before starting the guide, he will give us a brief introduction to the place and recommendations about the walk. This is the point where you can rent horses if you wish to do the route. From this point we have 1 hour 40 minutes to reach the mountain of 7 colors, During the trip we will have the opportunity to see the beautiful landscape, in this place have a few minutes to take your souvenir photos and go to the mountain of colors and enjoy of this beautiful landscape and magical landscape.

    Once the souvenir photos have been taken, we will descend to the starting point of the walk, at the indicated time we will begin to descend to the point where mobility left us and then we will return to the camp where we will taste a delicious buffet lunch and then we will return to the city of Cusco arriving at approximately 6:30 in the afternoon.
